Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born 12 November 1961 at Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti] Romania). She was the first to achieve a perfect 10 in an Olympic occasion. Bela Karrolyi, a Romanian gymnastics teacher who was later Comaneci's coach, first discovered Comaneci when she was just six years old. Comaneci participated for the first time in the national junior championships. She finished 13th. Following that, she was crowned champion. Her first competition in the international arena was in 1972 a pre-Olympic junior meet for the communist-bloc countries she won three gold medals and in 1973 and 1974 she was overall junior champion. In her first international competition as a senior in 1975 she beat out Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva the five-time European champion winning four gold medals and one silver. She won the American Cup in New York City in 1976, becoming the first woman to perform a reverse double salto, which is a dismount from the uneven bars parallel to each other. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She began her career in entertainment in her teens in which she was a part of a figure skating duo with the twin sister Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol's first job was in entertainment as a teenager. The path she took to success began when she joined her sister Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling show of entertainment. Ice Capades was a show that featured ice-skating with actors.
